This Montclair bathroom needed storage and aging in place upgrades before the in-laws moved in. Without adding any square footage to this bath or reconfiguring the layout, the functionality and storage were greatly improved. A deeper tub was installed for a relaxing soaking experience. The 30" vanity was replaced with a 42" one with 6 drawers and a roll-out shelf under the sink. The framed mirror was replaced with a triple bay recessed medicine cabinet with interior electrical outlet and a hinged magnifying mirror. A custom tiled recessed niche provides storage in the tub/shower. Thoughtful aging-in-place universal design elements include two grab bars and an under vanity night light providing a soft glow on the floor.

The style was also upgraded from traditional to transitional: tailored vanity with clear knobs and white engineered stone countertop, herringbone floor and grey & white mosaic accent tile.
