The existing bathroom was strange from the start: raised floor, awkward layout, cavernous space. During demo we discovered a false wall built inside the room that covered up one window. We gained a full foot in each direction! The new layout divided the space in half with a wall & pocket door to create a compact bath for the husband and a family laundry room on the 2nd floor of the home. The wife's painting studio and classroom is down the hall so the utility sink is conveniently located for her and her students to wash brushes. The artist stenciled and painted a custom pattern on the shade of the pendant over the laundry counter.
