Contemporary Frontyard
This project takes its inspiration from the northern Ontario landscape relying on the bold and clean stone architecture as its jumping off point. The house represents a stone cliff face that plunged into the waters of a dark lake, the gravel driveway that extends up to the facade which represents this water. The existing grouping of evergreens in the front were augemented with White pines and native grasses. The plant bed was shaped like an island shoreline of the northern Ontario lakes.
