Small English Garden

This small English style garden is set in the heart of Rosedale. The house is actually an old coach-house to one of the neighbouring homes. This courtyard serves as both front and backyard to these clients. The cobblestone driveway leads you around the neighbouring homes to the formal garden. Clay paver walkways direct to different features in the garden including water feature, seasonal planter, and front-door/entertaining areas.

Long cobblestone driveway using a combination of grey and rose coloured cobbles. Climbing Hydrangeas planted on the left along lattice to hide the neighbours stucco walls, and Ivy planted along the right hand side. Cute to see the small coach-house and red door in the distance!

Boxwood hedge surround a beautiful Star Magnolia Specimen tree at the front entrance, which holds a very elegant white flower in the spring time. Red door painted for emphasis and fitting in with the English Garden theme.

Where the walkways all meet in the centre of the garden bordered by short Boxwood hedges. Walkways are made from a clay brick, and centre is made from square cut local limestone.

Spitting lion water feature terminates one of the clay walkways. Custom lattice screens were places around to allow neighbouring vines to grow up and around the feature.

Other end of the clay paver walkway terminates at a seasonal planter on a stone plinth. Large Cedar hedges line this side of the property offering greenery and aesthetic versus the neighbouring building.
