Davidsonville Porch
This porch includes a deck with grill and dining area.
Unique future of this porch is that all the screening area is controlled by a remote motorized screen system. Large LVL beams are used to cover these span openings. The traditional 4x4 post every 4' or so is not needed anymore and will give this porch a large open feeling not to mention having a beautiful view at the pool.
Since railing was not needed by code we opted for a 20" kneewall. When the screening is open it can be used as a bench as well. A large 2x8 Ipe is used for the top.
All Ipe received a coat of Penofin marine oil finish (western red cedar)
Motorized screensystem is made by 'Flyaway" www.mvas.com
Screening can span up to 20' wide and 16' high if needed.
All material except for the pergola and screening is supplied by Johnson Lumber ( www.johnsonlumber.biz)
Decking is Fiberon Horizon decking in the color Ipe with Fiberon composite railing and black balusters from Deckorator. Material used for the pergola is all fiberglass.
