This large brick house on the water has a great view over the Chesapeake Bay.
Client wanted just a small area to sit and enjoy the view. The deck was higher than 30" and would require a guard rail which we didn't want. To solve this solution we created a wide step around the perimeter. This perimeter was now lower than 30" and avoided the railing. It is also used now as a seating area.
