This project required our team to both fabricate the copper hood surround and the copper bench seat and fireplace mantle out of two different finishes. We needed to incorporate fireproof material in front of the fireplace, which demanded the use of multiple materials integrated into one level surface.

The hood was built and installed in 6 "U shaped" sections and walked up ladder by hand as the cabinetry was already in place, not allowing us to bring in scaffolding. A challenge for sure.

Regardless, both pieces can truly stand on their own as a centerpiece of each room... yet are both visible upon entry into the home.
