This project started as some updating around the home and resulted in our clients scrapping their existing kitchen for a new one! They purchased the home while living in California, which gave us something we rarely get...time! We were able to do the majority of the work before they ever moved in, which was great for everyone! The old kitchen was nice, but dark and outdated. Coming from sunny California, our clients hoped for bright, white, spacious, functional with some personality! This kitchen has it all and then some. We loved designing this space for them and transforming the feel of the entire house. Now it feels like home to them and that makes us soooo happy! Features of the space that were unappealing before have now become the stars! For example, the sliding doors behind the window over the sink replaced a bulky window, blocking the view from the kitchen to the hearth room. Now, the doors can slide open and we created a ledge for serving or staging food while entertaining. Enjoy these photos as they walk you through the finished product.
