Scope Creep Remodel!

This job was a kitchen remodel that rolled into an addition and then became an entire first floor gut job. This house was entirely transformed into a highly functional, updated and open floor plan with tons of storage and light. New furnishings custom made to fit the space were the icing on the cake!

In this remodel, we added a coffered ceiling to the kitchen and opened up the space, by relocating the fireplace and removing some wing walls. Now the space is open from room to room, but the rooms are well defined by changes in ceiling detail and built ins.

We designed this rug, chaise, chairs and console to fit the design style and wishes of our client. We also designed the flat panel cabinets that flank the fireplace, to bring a cleaner and more simple look to the space. We mimicked the flat panel on the island, tying both spaces together.

We sunk this custom made cabinet into a pantry. When the doors are closed it looks like paneling! This is a great place to keep bills, keys, school paperwork, etc.

This eat in space is part of the addition, off the kitchen. By adding this area, we had more room in the kitchen, to enlarge the island and its functionality. We built an L shaped bench seat and then custom made this awesome trestle table.

The home office is perfect, it's tucked behind the refrigerator wall, so really don't notice it unless you make your way to the eat in dining space. The file drawers are great for school papers and bill filing and a great place to charge phones.

The owner had all these photos around the house, prior to the remodel, so we grouped them and hung them in the stairwell. It's such a precious thing to look at every time they walk up or down the stairs.
