Fully Accessible Residence

As Interior Designer, collaboration directly with the Architect to achieve an Accessible Environment. Responsibilities included all Interior Finishes, including Custom Designed Silestone Quartz Flooring and Custom Area Carpets which are inset flush with adjacent Silestone Borders & Floors, Window Coverings; including Computerized Solar & Black-out Shades as well as Draperies / Roman Shades, Custom Millwork Furnishings, Plumbing Fixtures & Finishes, Bedspreads, New Furnishings, Custom Closets, Exterior Architectural Lighting and Interior Accent Lighting, Accessories. Selection and Installation of Artwork. Collaboration with Interior Plant Specialist.


Features include Multiple Kitchens & Bathrooms, Home Theater, Home Office, Laundry Rooms, Home Automation System controlling Lighting/Security/Rain Sensor Windows/Solar Shades and Sound Systems. Indoor Pool & Spa, Steam Room, Kitchen & Changing Rms

Accessible Great Room is achieved by insetting the custom wool carpet within the Silestone tile border and Motorized Solar Shades. Wall sconces illuminate the barrel vaulted ceiling while eliminating glare on the built-in TV.

The custom closet cabinetry included accessible pull-down hanging units which bring upper hanging items down to floor level. I've also used this in closets with taller ceilings, where a 2nd and 3rd level of hanging clothing can be lowered for access.
