Wallcoverings / Wallpaper

Some cringe when hearing the term "Wallpaper". Today, Wallcoverings have come a long way from the Wallpapers of yesterday. No longer are they only available in the flocked patterns we remember from our grandmother's home, today Wallcoverings are a stylish design feature. Some wall coverings are even available as 'temporary' or 'easily removable'.

This very small Mud Half Bath is livened up with an overcalled paisley vinyl wall covering in various taupe, grey and brown colors.

A textured heavy duty vinyl wall covering simulating travertine stone panels was applied directly over the existing woodgrain plastic laminate wall panels for a fresh look.

In-progress photograph. Foyer's recessed niche in a vinyl wall covering (which is extremely durable) and a custom Alder credenza top below. This vinyl resembles a textured fabric (silk or grasscloth), so the seams do not match up. We will hang a vintage mirror hanging between the wall sconces.

Since this powder room is less formal (adjacent the family's Game Room), we used a more casual wall covering - birch trees just on the focal vanity wall. The remaining walls were painted to match the darker taupe color on the Birch Trees Wallcovering.
