The bathroom design itself was inspired by Victorian era. Our client desired a feeling of airiness and spaciousness in their narrow bathroom, prompting our initial discussion of an open-concept lavatory set. The previous bathroom featured two separate pedestal sinks with no counter surface and two medicine cabinets for storing toiletries. In response, we designed a new vanity area with an open concept in mind, making use of exposed plumbing as a key feature.

Additionally, we added a much-needed countertop surface and an elevated marble shelf above the sinks for everyday items. One of the standout features of this space is the custom-designed set of polished nickel vanity legs, which were made for us out of state. These legs add a touch of elegance and elevate the room from the moment one enters the bathroom.

For the entire bathroom, we chose a marble aesthetic. The walls, vanity, and shower seat are all adorned with gold Calacatta marble we sourced locally. The floor features a black and white grout-less marble mosaic, imported from Italy. The plumbing fixtures and bath accessories, such as towel bars and soap holders, have all been finished in a sleek satin nickel. This adds a touch of warmth and vintage charm to the space.

In selecting the shower door, we were set on a double French-style door for its symmetry and elegance. To further enhance its beauty, we added a silver frame around the pivoting part of the door, creating a stunning entry into the shower. The bathroom features a large bronze vanity mirror and a floor-to-ceiling dark wood linen cabinet, providing a striking contrast to the all-white aesthetic and adding dimension to the space.
