This space was updated to reflect our client's style and needs. They wanted to keep the TV above the fireplace, but needed new look for their soon to be empty nest living room.
While touring their home, we noticed a blend of modern and traditional elements in furnishings and finishes so we wanted to keep the living room vibe the same, and incorporated some modern elements into more transitional style of fireplace surround and bookshelves.
The add-on was the plaid wallcovering design that blends nicely into the background of the open bookshelves, but adds a layer of depth, making the room appear more spacious.
We painted the entire room and carpentry same color to achieve fresh modern look.
