The brief for this project was to redesign and transform an existing restaurant into a new Indian fine dining restaurant with the specific theme of a hunting lodge. Adding character and uniqueness to the space was key and we worked around the idea of bringing in outside elements.
Initially getting inspiration from animals in the Rajasthan region and hut environments, we utilised related colours and raw materials, reminiscent of textures in the jungle. We found great allies in the wallpaper designs of Zoffany and De Gournay.
The design of the restaurant furniture followed the same organic principles; our bespoke table tops are curved and give softness to the space as well as providing the flexibility to join tables in different positions for each particular occasion.
We would like customers to feel like they are sitting in a hut surrounded by the sanctuaries of Rajasthan during the British colonial time.
