Modernizing a "Mod" Kitchen

Have you ever wanted a kitchen that brightened your day? The original "mod" kitchen from the 60's had a classic copper metal tile back-splash, typical separate cook-top and wall-oven and only had a single center light fixture that made the kitchen look dark on the north side of the home. By removing the soffits and rearranging the appliances, more usable storage and counter-top space was created. The removal of the tiny peninsula allowed for better traffic flow when cooking for family and friends, and space for the addition of a dishwasher. New LED lighting, new adjustable pantry shelves, pullout double waste and other cabinet features help brighten and organize the new kitchen. Additional details were incorporated in cabinet matching stained pantry doors and basement pocket door. The space is now a great retreat that invites everyone home!
