Metamorphosis of dated oak kitchen to a dazzling center of the home The small windows are removed and a larger picture window positioned for views to be enjoyed from the sink and peninsula. To further add lightness to the kitchen, glass cabinet doors and task lighting were added. Linoleum floors were replaced with hardwood to match the rest of the living space.

The table and chairs will be eliminated. The client requested seating for four in the new kitchen. The client would like the wall between the kitchen dinette area and family room removed.
Dinette area
The sink wall cabinetry was extended to the family room wall. The client requested seating in the kitchen at the peninsula.
Large window at sink
Before
The small U-shaped kitchen is difficult to maneuver for more than one person. The peninsula was closing off the space into a dinette area and small kitchen. The client requested an open light and airy look.
Oak kitchen
The glass door cabinets help to create the open airy aesthetic that the client requested. The original windows were removed and one large window was located above the farmhouse sink
