The open floor plan and white cabinetry made the kitchen seem much larger than it was before. Although they eliminated the previous pantry cabinet, there is actually more storage in the new layout because of extending the upper cabinets to the ceiling, adding the island, and the banquette storage.

There is no need to clog up valuable cabinet storage by creating a shallow vitamin cabinet. All it takes is a 3" deep space on the end of the island.

Clever use of the cavernous refrigerator cabinet is to put tray dividers for cookie sheets, racks, roasting pans, platters, cupcake tins, etc.

By removing this wall, there will be space for an island in the new layout to pick up more storage and seating. The customer expressed a wish to have an open plan to entertain. The current kitchen is cut off from the rest of the house.
