Portland Bathroom Remodel
This full bathroom remodel transformed a dated, all-white tile bathroom into a warm, character-rich space with a distinctly boho-earthy aesthetic. Every surface was touched — from the floor to the walls to the fixtures — and the result speaks for itself.
The original bathroom hadn't been updated in decades. White 4x4 square tile covered every wall surface, grout lines were darkened and worn, fixtures were mismatched chrome, and the space lacked any real storage or personality. The homeowner wanted something warm, layered, and full of life — without losing the vintage charm of the home.
The centerpiece of the remodel is the hand-painted decorative wall tile. A two-tone tile layout was used throughout the tub surround — a warm mocha field tile on the lower wainscot paired with a stunning stamped geometric upper tile in sand and gold tones. The subtle Moroccan-influenced pattern gives the walls a custom, artisan quality that you simply can't get from a big-box selection.
Underfoot, terracotta penny round mosaic tile runs the full floor — a nod to the home's original vintage character while feeling entirely fresh in context.
On the vanity wall, we installed a warm wood-tone single vanity with white quartz top, matte black hardware, and a round black-framed mirror. A pair of statement dome sconces in a warm brass finish add the perfect ambient glow.
Every fixture was selected in matte black — faucet, towel hooks, toilet paper holder — tying the whole space together with a consistent, modern-meets-vintage feel.
