Small but Functional Primary Bathroom
This master bath was a fun one to remodel in that the clients craved a feature wall with some wow factor.
And, a finite amount of space meant every inch was critical to incorporate their functional needs while meeting their fashion!
The shower was project importante' because the couple had a very outdated tub shower setup which was awkward and impractical for their lifestyle.
So, operation primary bath commenced.
Shower Large Format 12”x24” and 2”x2”
Shower Floor Tile: Calacutta Oro (an exclusive from Best Tile )
Patterned Shower Wall Tile- Palazzo Ducale Sogetto (also through Best Tile)
Vanity Countertops: Grey Lagoon (quartz in concrete finish)
Fixtures: @Kohler Devonshire series in Chrome
Cabinetry: @KemperCabinets through @ProSource_columbia
We threw in some make life better details like:
- installed a heated floor system
- designed the shower valve to sit on the OPPOSITE wall to make for easy and dry usability
- installed a HydroRail system with a hand-held sprayer to make it easier to wash the dogs
- incorporated anti-microbial materials that are non-porous and more sanitary
- included a variety of materials so all aren't shiny, thus having more longevity and a clean look
- maximized space under the counter with shelving for extra towel storage
As a standard with every shower I do, the shower sill and bench seat are the same material as the vanity countertop. It's cohesive and also serves as a other locations for the anti-microbial advantage! Lastly, to frame this primary bath beauty, I took the wainscoting around the entire wallscape and intentionally brought the crown moulding all the way around into the shower.
