Remaking a vintage Colonial
This project is located in the very desirable North Arlington neighborhood of "Tara". Like many established Arlington neighborhoods, the housing stock in Tara is a mix of eclectic styles dating back from a post-war era. The original Volpe house was built in the late 1930's. And like most homes from this period, it lacked modern upgrades and the desired space allocation expected in today's homes.

The remade house more than doubled the original house.
