Across from Spa Creek

Our client of 20 years called on us again to help refresh their home from 12 years ago. We mixed some of the existing furniture with some new pieces and painted out the beams , ceiling and built-ins for a new transitional vibe. We worked our way from the first floor all the way up to the raftered roof top bedroom. We changed altered, painted and reupholstered as we worked our way through the house! Take a look and you will see some good ideas for updating your spaces!

Our great room has been redone in the navy and taupe color scheme to update the house. The dark wood beamed ceiling has been freshened up with several coats of white paint and it has lightened the room tremendously!

The view form the stairs shows the space plan of the whole room. The comfortable blend of wool rugs in tweed and scroll pattern work well together.

BEFORE SHOT: of the dining area with the green oriental rug. We reupholstered the host and hostess chairs and replaced the side chairs with new chairs. In this photo you can view the dark wood cabinetry that was all painted out in white. The rug was replaced with a more neutral scroll pattern.

The den has been made a bit smaller to incorporate a new powder room, but we were still able to have a seating group with the secretary desk to house the office needs.

Our new Powder Room was carved out of the Home Office space. The textured contemporary wall covering was a stunning addition to the narrow room. The paper worked well with the sparkle of the chrome accents and the silver leaf mirror.

The sofa in the sun room has been redone three times over the last twenty years! The patchwork mix of patterns has been a winning combination and such a center piece of conversation. It has gotten better with each renewal!

The corner of the eating area on the porch is backed with a funky folding screen made from old doors and shutters.

Our faux finished Buffet was a dark brown mahogany. The new finish as you see here is a distressed white and driftwood with a rubbed through finish at the wear points on the piece.

Our seating group in the closed in porch is a great space to use in the winter. the sun pours in and makes for a cozy area.

The hallway console has been refinished from yellow with flowers to a handsome taupe strie finish. The mirror was in a gold tone and now has a weathered silver finish with a charcoal glaze.

The teal and taupe color scheme in this guest bedroom is very serene and inviting. The layers of matalasse quilts and loads of comfy pillows welcome your favorite guest. The extra tall bed needed tall night stands to work with the proportions in the room.

BEFORE SHOT- MASTER BEDROOM- In the Master suite we reupholstered the sitting area furniture and replaced the bed and nightstands. The new fern green color on the walls plays well with the neutral fabrics.

In the Master Bedroom, the client had a favorite green paint from another house they owned, so we used it as a starting point for the room. The mix of patterns, textures and print, make a wonderful collage of fabrics on this inviting bedscape!

BEFORE SHOT GUEST ROOM- In the loft Guest Bedroom, we had the furniture refinished in new colors and did new bedding to coordinate for a much fresher look.

In the roof top room the blue and white color scheme was perfect for being up in the sky! We had the furniture painted from stained cherry to white on the bed and grey blue on the dressers to give new life to the upper aerie!
