Our homeowners are energetic people that enjoy visiting Italy because of the vibrant food, wine and ambiance of the country. They have simple tastes and enjoy life. When asked about their preferences in the
design of interiors , they answered that they do not want formal areas in the home, they wanted a relaxed, elegant, comfortable, atmosphere , where their friends and family would feel at home. They likened it to the vacations they have taken to Italy. So, the final decision was to describe the look as “European Country

Dining in the round! In furnishing the Dining room , the Table was a “Jupe” Design that had pie shaped leaves and transformed the table from a 64” dia. To a 78” dia.

In the Entry we designed a touch of rustic beams in an “X” for the pendant light and hung windmill blades over the antique finished bench for a touch of European Country . Our rustic Farmhouse Cocktail Table anchors the Living room area.

The design of the living room started with the Cast Limestone Fireplace surround and we tiled the back wall of the fireplace with coordinating limestone tile for a stronger impact. In the Living Room, on the loggia side that is open to the water, we used flanking demi-lune tables with mirrors above and stationary drapery panels to frame the view. Very comfortable seating was planned for a group of 8 friends.

The Powder room was located under the stairway. We had to drop the ceiling to get the stairs in, but, we were able to get some additional height to add three beams across the taller section of the space.

We incorporated beams and a very large windmill bladed ceiling fan to give the downstairs Master Bedroom a country estate feel. The rush seated bench at the foot of the bed added the texture that we needed to compliment the fan.

The Guest Quarters was outfitted with a traditional Iron bed, demi-lune tables and the Client’s artwork. We added book nooks to each end of the window seat area, as to offer a good read to their Guests when visiting.

We mixed wrought iron and vinyl woven wicker pieces to make a comfortable seating group out on the screened porch. Violet loves it out there!!!
