Arnold Escape

The expansion in this house went up into the attic space for the Guest bedroom. The skylights cut into the roof flooded the room with natural light.

The added Loft space functions well for the family. The room has a kitchenette and custom built-ins for the TV and storage.

The new Bath space in the Loft area was done in bright crisp colors. The fresh modern look lent itself to the open airy Loft.

The Loft area paneling has panels that can open to reveal storage in the eaves of the home. The seating group provides a cozy place to read or watch TV.

The blues and greens of the Guest bedroom are fresh and lively!

This is the BEFORE of the "bed wall". It is the only wall for the bed to fit on in the room. So, not to ruin a good thing we proceeded with the bed in the same place. Look at the next shot that we did to add architectural interest!

Here we have just finished the wall and are setting up the new hand forged bed.

In the Master suite we completely revived the tired bed and bath. We used a fresh spring green for the walls and did a unique panel behind our custom made bed to add architectural detail.

In the Master suite we made a spot to read a book or enjoy a different show than what they are watching downstairs!

Opposite the bed we installed a custom built-in to replicate the square panel design behind the bed. The small cubbies up above are lit with fun accessories and photos of the kids! The TV is concealed in the cabinet.

Although we took out two small closets, we added a ton of storage with the Bath Cabinets. We added a walk -in closet by bumping into the adjoining space.

We used a stried linen tile with marble and wood chicklets for accents. The tub deck flows right into the shower and becomes the bench inside. We even used the wood chicklets on the cornice!

The wood tile was used in the bathroom floor every other tile. Very different! These can be used in areas where there is not a lot of water.

We used the carrara mosaic for the backsplash detail.

In the shower area we used a chocolate border tile that very closely resembled the wood tile in the floor. It was hard to tell them apart!
