Fairlawn Favorite

My clients and I have been working on different projects in their home for the last 12 years. We always have something going on it seems. We have featured the Kitchen renovation in this Project called Fairlawn Favorite! There is always more than one way to design a space. As you can see here, our goal was to keep the rather new Granite and Back Splash that were installed not long ago.

As not to disturb or break up the existing granite tops we kept the base cabinets and painted them the color of the new doors and upper cabinets. Then we added a whole new wall on the other side of the kitchen where there was a blank wall.

Here is a shot of the BEFORE kitchen with the dated bulkheads and shorter cabinets. Compare to the after photos with the taller cabinets. It really truly adds height to the room!

Here is the finished kitchen with the new painted and glazed cabinets. We have removed the bulkhead and taken the cabinets to the ceiling.

This is what we discovered in the bulkhead when we were in the Demo Stage. Our carpenters are excellent in problem solving! See the next shot of the solution!

In fact it's great to have a good team like ours working on your project. There are all sorts of issues that come up. We refaced the island with new doors and drawer fronts and paneled the backside and the end panels.

The new Wall unit at the end of the kitchen now stores all of the couple's crystal and glasses. It freed up a tremendous amount of space in the work triangle!

We were even able to add an upper and base cabinet around the corner from the refrigerator!

Our beautiful back splash was saved as well! We were able to take down and reinstall the cabinetry without damaging it! What Luck!

The Master Bedroom was a project from a while ago. Good design is timeless!

We had three windows in a row, so, we installed stationary Drapery Panels from the ceiling to the floor on the wall sections in between. The wall turn out fabulously!

The crusty finished armoire provided a lot of extra storage and hid the TV as well!

Window treatments need not be too fussy. Here we installed a tailored valance with cascades approximately 12" above the small windows. It made the ceiling height soar! We barely covered any of the glass area at all to maximize the light flooding the bathroom in the afternoon!
