Bath Remodel
Our client wanted a change from the wood coloring their basement previously had. As a space that caters to both their children and guests, we decided to brighten it up with a refreshing blue accent wall and green cabinets, complementing the trendy, patterned textiles throughout the room.
For a chic, functional space that suits both adults and children, there were two fundamental necessities: storage and seating. To accomplish this, one feature we installed was a custom banquette which offers ample seating and a place to hide away the children’s toys.
The last addition to the basement was a gorgeous, child-safe electric fireplace. The porcelain material is made to look like limestone, ensuring easy maintenance combined with a polished look.
Upstairs, a convenient mudroom was added to the back of the house, which is the closest door to the garage, giving the family a place to store their backpacks, purses, and shoes in a clean and organized spot.
Lastly, the upstairs bathroom was transformed into a kid-friendly space by replacing the stand-up shower with a full bath. The natural stone wall adds warmth to the space and creates a visually pleasing contrast of design.
Project designed by Skokie renovation firm, Chi Renovation & Design - general contractors, kitchen and bath remodelers, and design & build company. They serve the Chicago area, and it's surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on the North Side and North Shore. You'll find their work from the Loop through Lincoln Park, Skokie, Evanston, Wilmette, and all of the way up to Lake Forest.
