Our clients love their 70’s home perched on the hillside next to the hiking and biking trails in Boise. This young couple just needed a few updates to make the space more perfectly suit their modern lifestyle and adorable growing family. The master bathroom was tiny and dark with no privacy from the bedroom, making it difficult for partners on different schedules to accommodate each other’s quiet time. The new layout shows the separation wall between vanity and bathtub area removed allowing for a larger vanity and more elbow room in a small space. We added a small operable window for natural light and fresh air. The new space is light and bright, and feels like we added square footage. We had a very tight budget and wanted to give our clients the look and feel of a modern spa-like bathroom. The goal was to add a little peace and quiet to their time at home after hectic daytime jobs and activities. We were actually able to turn over small items on the wish list back to the client in order to save them some money. Items like bedroom flooring and paint, things they could do themselves on their own schedule were easy for them to handle while not requiring our general contracting or special skills.
