City Highrise Condo

This 42nd floor downtown condo, which we remodeled for a single professional man, features window walls on two sides; the magnificent cityscape views deserve status as the unrivaled major focal point.
This project won a first place ASID MN Chapter award for renovations under 3,500 sq. ft.; a first place NKBA MN Chapter award for large and open kitchens and for best overall makeover; a first place NARI MN Chapter Contractor of the Year award for residential interiors < $150K, a first place BATC Remodeler of Merit award for kitchens over 300 sq. ft.; and a Decor Elite Design first place Platinum award for contemporary kitchens. It has been published in Mpls/St.Paul magazine, Midwest Home magazine, Spaces magazine, and International New Architecture Kitchens and Baths magazine.

The desired contemporary masculine style was achieved through the geometry of strong angles contrasted by half circles, and a mix of materials in which dark rich tones contrast with the light and bright.

The client owned two pieces of artwork he wanted to include in his new condo, and they inspired the design of his new space; one hangs in the dining area. The rug is custom woven.

The second piece of artwork incorporated into the condo design is displayed over the bar. The living area includes another custom woven rug, custom woven pillows, and a leather and steel reclining chair.
