Contemporary Condo

This retired couple downsized from a single family home to a condo that needed extensive remodeling. Their highly personalized home is a result of the collaboration between our company and the clients' interior designer Ron Scolman.
This project won a COTY award, 2nd place Residential Kitchen $60-100K from MN Chapter NARI.

Ron Scolman's design started with a visit to a local granite showroom where the clients fell in love with a slab of granite with beautiful rose tones and a striking grain pattern. Other finishes followed from there.

The kitchen was opened up to the dining room and the living room with the verdant view beyond the large living room bay window.

A mix of finishes defines the kitchen: rose granite countertops; gloss white, birdseye maple, and corrugated aluminum cabinets;

The kitchen nook serves multiple functions, including display area for the couples' art pieces.

The kitchen plan integrates birdseye maple, gloss white, and corrugated aluminum cabinets. A stainless steel man-handle adds a bit of whimsy to the stainless steel bar hardware.

The master bathroom was planned with birdseye maple cabinets and heavily grained granite slabs used on the countertops and tub deck.

The master bathroom shower walls are also fabricated of the slab granite.

The master bath materials were chosen for their colors, patterns, and textures.

The second bathroom serves as a guest bath and powder room. The pop of red used for the high gloss lacquer vanity is pulled from the contemporary artwork reflected in the mirror.
