This bungalow in Houston's historic Brooke Smith neighborhood near the Heights began life as a 1,000 ft 2-bed, 1-bath property. We expanded the home to become approximately 1,600 ft with 3-beds and 2.5 baths. The architect and homeowner had a very specific modern vision for the home. Features include large window and door units by Western Window Systems, white oak flooring stained true black, solid oak cabinets stained black, custom paneled appliances fully integrated with the cabinetry, large skylights to allow tons of natural light, soapstone countertops, and loads of custom details throughout.
