This master bathroom and closet area were part of a massive whole-house renovation of a home in the Highlands area of Louisville. Originally a barn built in the 1840s, the structure was converted to a house in 1921.

We used two small rooms adjacent to the master bedroom to create a new closet and bathroom retreat. The homeowner wanted a modern aesthetic that still payed tribute to the unique original home. We accomplished this by utilizing reclaimed materials wherever possible and also showcasing much of the original architectural detailing.
