The owners of this charming bungalow wanted to add a master bathroom and walk-in closet to the second floor, but did not want to lose the character of the existing rear dormer. We found a solution by extending the existing clipped gable dormer and adding flanking "saddlebag" dormers to either side to house the bathroom and closet. On the first floor we added a screened porch that shares the same roof detailing and brackets as the second floor dormer.
