The owners fell in love with this wooded lakeside property and purchased it to use as a vacation home and family retreat. However, the existing two bedroom one bath home was not large enough to accommodate their growing family of children and grandchildren. Thanks to a full renovation of the existing house and a two-story addition the home now features two guest bedrooms, guest bath, loft area, master suite, and enlarged kitchen. Both the roof and ceiling were raised in the existing Living and Dining area to create a more open feel in the public spaces, and a gracious 12′x30′ screened porch was added along the north side. Wide sliding French doors by Marvin were used to maximize the flow between interior and exterior spaces. Reclaimed heart pine floors and natural pine trim bring rustic warmth throughout the home.
