Woodhill
Whole house renovation and addition, completed 2011.
“Young, fun, and modern” was the design direction we were given by the new owner of this federal style home. A 315 sf addition provides an expanded Kitchen, Laundry Room, and a new side entry porch. The small scale and clean lines of the addition respect the traditional detailing of the existing house, while hinting at the surprises one will find inside. Walls separating the Kitchen, Dining, and Living Rooms were removed and these now share one dramatic light-filled space. Thirty lineal feet of built-in bookshelves double as a walk-through divider between the hallway and living space. A tight closet and bathroom were combined to make a spacious master bathroom retreat. While still firmly planted in its traditional roots, the house has been transformed into a stylish, bright, and functional haven for the family that lives there
