Not every home improvement project starts with a fresh canvas so I look at ways to enhance existing features while staying on budget. Minor changes can make a big impact on not only visual appeal, but function. After completing the basement remodel for my client we moved upstairs. For the main level of this home the plan was to freshen the look of the rooms to make them more functional for the home owner.
In the kitchen we selected new appliances, granite countertops to match the existing island top, and added a new tiled backsplash. We designed a new hutch/desk in a green finish for mom's personal use and organization that feels like a piece of furniture.
In the home office we visually updated the space with new carpet, new paint, and a new light fixture, along with a wall of custom cabinets in a black finish to make the room more functional for the children to do homework in.
