Watersedge Kitchen Renovation
My clients weren't looking to tear out their entire kitchen but rather desired an update that would hold them over for the next 4-5 years. Updates they could enjoy now and the next homeowner would appreciate as well. The goal was to keep the majority of the original cabinetry, replace the small island and countertops and add some designer details that would tie in all the selections. I was brought in by the remodeling contractor to assist with all the planning and create the visual concept that would marry the old with the new while staying within a reasonable budget. We selected Summer Beach granite for the countertops and an irregular 3x12 crackle subway tile for the backsplash. For the new cabinetry pieces, we selected a dark finish found within the natural wood flooring that contrasts well between all the wood tones within the home. The end results are a rustic traditional kitchen that not only looks beautiful but functions well for this active family.
