The original kitchen was a U shaped design with the peninsula that separated the kitchen from the dining area. The golden oak cabinetry was dated and my client's were seeking a plan that allowed them to use the space how they really live. I provided them with several plan options to show them various ways to use their space. A few involved keeping their more formal dining room table and chairs next to the kitchen, while others expanded the island into this space. The plan they chose moved the formal dining to the front room of the house, a room they weren't using to it fullest potential. The new island design expands into the former dining area creating a large eat-in island that is both functional and beautiful. They are thrilled with the results!
