This is what we found before any work began. There was no reason to waste aluminum trim like this. Fortunately, the roofer did have drip edge behind all of this mess.

We removed all of the existing gutters and downspouts as well as this unneccessary trim. We then replaced the rotted fascia that was hidden and retrimmed the fascias with new aluminum trim. After all of that, we sent the gutter crew out to do their work.
