This homeowner in Algonac hired a Company to try to straighten out the sag in the garage door to the right. Their rememdey just made it worse. She fired them and hired us to make the corrections.

We pulled the necessary permit so she would see the City would need to approve our work. Being that this is a Block agarage, we also discussed the remedy with a structual engineer.

The first thing that would need to happen is the removal of this garage door. We took care of that and saved it to rehang once we were complete with our work.

We braced the roof as we were on site ready to set the new LVL needed to support the roof once we eleiminated the sag as much as possible.

We had the Mason come back and install the new blockwork above the garage door. After that, we reinstalled the garage door. The homeowner painted the new block work as seen here.

The City gave us their approval and so sdid the homeowner. She was very impressed at how much straighter the garage is now that we are finished with the project.

This Homeowner gave us a call because he found a lot of rotted wood around his home.

Even some of the posts were rotted at the bottom.

The headers that support the roof were failing big time.

We were hired to address the rot on the headers around the front porch, replace the wood posts that were compromised, install new aluminum trim after reworking the existing soffit, and to install new gutters on the front of the home and down this one return on the porch.

More than likely, a tree limb hit this roof and started the damage.

Fortunately, this was a truss roof that did not rely heavily on these headers for support.

The client agreed that it was time to also redo the headers all the way across the front of the home.

All new lumber across the front of the home redone with the existing soffit, new aluminum trim, and new gutters along with a couple of matching wood posts.
