We were contacted by our client to redesign the driveway appearance and to add a heating option so the homeowner can spend less time have the driveway ploughed which can lead to damage. In Syracuse, we have on average 125 inches of snow a year so heating steps, landings, pathways and driveways is a realistic option. The existing condition of both the driveway, steps and walls ranged from poor to structurally unsound. This led to repairs and replacements. As part of the project, the garage floor was improved with the addition of two dished baths under the car outline to collect snow, new drainage and a fabulous epoxy decorative finish added. We selected all the hardscape materials for the driveway, drainage, new steps, wall caps, LED lighting and handrail.
