This kitchen already had an open feel and floorplan, but the dark cabinets and lighting made it feel small. We freshened up the space with brighter cabinets throughout the kitchen, making the focal point the island, keeping that warm, inviting feel with the new island design in a truffle-stained maple finish. We installed new chandelier pendant lights to bring in more light and add dimension above the island. To feature the beautiful window already above the sink, we added a brick backsplash up to the ceiling and centered the sink underneath. The new granite countertop pulled all the design elements together and allowed the hardware selected to tie in with the entire kitchen.
