This open plan kitchen was working well but was dark and outdated. The homeowner’s biggest complaint was the pantry shape and access, so we relocated the pantry closet opening to the hallway. The new pantry door was fitted with frosted glass to keep the visual tidy. This change created two pantry zones, one for quick access items kept in a tall cabinet on roll out trays, and the closet for storing small appliances and larger items. The new two-tone color scheme brightened and modernized the space. The rich veined marble backsplash tied everything together. The new range hood blends in with the painted white upper wall cabinets above the induction cooktop.
