Welcome to this warm and inviting kitchen that’s contemporary with classic touches.

For this project we were approached to remodel the entire kitchen and front hall area of the home. The clients had just moved into a fairly new home, but disliked the original kitchen and wanted to overhaul the entire space.

When we approached this kitchen project, we realized there were various restrictions with the flow, storage and functionality. We create numerous layouts until we mutually agreed on the perfect floor plan. This plan meant that we would relocated many of the appliances as well as many major components of the kitchen, and as a bonus we carved out a nook for a butlers pantry/bar.

When it came to styling we decided to go for a fresh and feminine palate that exudes glamour and a timeless appeal. We choose a high gloss porcelain tile that mimicked the look of a natural stone. This crisp white over-sized tile is was a durable choice that brightens up the entire front hall and kitchen space.

The island acts as an anchor and a focal point, it’s soft blue-grey tone adds a delicate contrast against the warm white cabinets. By introducing the furniture kick on the base, it makes this piece feel like a custom cabinet.

To add another level of detail and introduce that feminine flare, we allocated a few of the doors to have soft curves as the door profile, to contrast against the more common shaker style doors.

The farmhouse style hood adds to that warm and classic look and creates another focal point around the oven.

As a finishing touch we mixed up the cabinet hardware, with a combination of chrome and crystal, by introducing the crystal knobs,we played into the glamorous look.

As a result, a pretty kitchen that feel classic and timeless.
