The owners of this large contemporary house needed a drastic update to their living room to make it more functional and inviting, and to give it a current look with clean lines and rich surfaces.

The solution began with centering the fireplace on the wall, making it the prominent feature of the room. A glass mantel is gently illuminated from behind by fiber optics that are discreetly placed within the cabinetry.

Hidden within the maple cabinetry are a television, a surround sound stereo system, and storage for various types of media. The resulting composition fulfills all of the client’s practical needs and the desired modern aesthetic.
