This couple wanted to connect their home to the outdoors and further their love for gardening. They didn’t want just a normal deck made of pressure treated lumber or even PVC. They wanted something exotic so we chose an Abaco Brazilian hardwood. Criner Remodeling’s Project manager, Tony Domingos, constructed the deck with the following features the clients desired: built in seating, built in planter boxes, no railing, proper drainage, a grand entrance from the yard with a wide staircase and integrated lighting, hidden storage for lawn equipment, a trash corral to hide the large garbage containers with an easy to use hydraulic lid accessible from the deck side and a door on the yard side, stainless steel LED lighting, an area for grilling, and a designer Eagle Bay Cottage Stone paver with Albemarle stone infill for a new patio and pathway to the driveway.
