The house is a lovely newly renovated Victorian on a shady street. The home owners wanted both entertaining space and a place to grow herbs and vegetables. We created a 3 tired beds that end at the property line. The space behind is actually the ally that has become part of the yard but holds the utility easement. We re-purposed the existing flagstone patio to create another patio in that area. A great space for a portable fire-pit and over flow for a large gathering. You step down from the screen porch into the new patio which is created with custom made cement pads. The fountain adds a nice contrast and focal point. In the front yard we cleaned up the beds, added chop-stone boarder and nice big urns to flank the approach.
