The owner of this lovely back garden is orignially from England. She lives in a beautifuly restored bungalow and wanted a cottage garden to go with it. The back was a blank slate. The idea was to have a expanded space for entertaining, a raised bed for herbs and veg and a pond. Her Mum comes to visit each year from England and she wanted a lovely garden where she would feel at home. We added a wrap around step to the existing covered porch deck. To keep cost down and help with drainage we used gravel for another seating area and paths. There is a view on the side of the house from the dining room and we put in plants that attract birds and pollinators.
We did this project in December 2015 and added photos of it from late July 2016. This is a garden to enjoy year round!
