The owners of this kitchen wanted to open up kitchen to dining area. The existing house was built in the 1930's and retained much of the original detailing of that era. The owners wanted to open the remodeled kitchen to the existing dining room. Even though we reconfigured the entire kitchen, we wanted to make sure the new kitchen was visually compatible with the rest of the house. The kitchen is immediately adjacent to an existing atrium that adds to the natural light in the space. The new window needed to related to the other openings in the atrium to be visually compatible. The result is a much more efficient, light filled kitchen that functions much better for a more current lifestyle.
