The owners of this house wanted to rebuild their rear deck and make a room extension. Since these two elements of the project could have a big impact on the rear of the house, we saw this as an opportunity to carry the traditional Mediterranean style details of the existing house to the rear yard area. We supported the new deck with a series of arches and added curved brackets under the new room extension to tie the new addition to the existing structure.
