This project involved a major whole house remodel and a number of additions for an extended family. The character of the house was completely transformed. A major variance application with a public hearing was required. Much effort was applied toward designing the house for the present and the future as much as possible. A private bedroom suite was created for aging parents and aging in place measures were considered in the design of this area of the house. The house was designed to accommodate large extended family gatherings.
