We just LOVED working with these clients in Greenwich, CT. They had recently moved to this large renovated modern home which had an amazing basement area (about 2500 square feet) that needed some design help! We wanted to customize the space to the ages and interests of the kids, who are ages 6 (Boy) and girl (10) but also to the many cousins and friends that they have come over. These kids range from 2 to 15 so we had to create zones to interest kids of all ages, ultimately. We designed an amazing kid/ teen gym that leads into the adult gym, This area had the climbing net, basketball hoop, wall ladders, rock wall, monkey bars and hand holds and trapeze. Super challenging ninja circuit! Then we designed a large art/ crafts/ game area with a custom parsons style table to fit 4 to 8 kids also with custom storage that is easily accessible and very organized! The we designed and built a playhouse with room for sleepovers :) with an additional smaller playhouse under the stairs for the under 5 set. Lastly since this family is from overseas, we added a HUGE wall map so kids and family can look and mark up where they have gone and where they want to go! In this area, we also add some table top games, and cozy flexible bean bags and hanging swinging chairs. Fun, Fun, Fun!
